Background:

Battea was contracted to review a prior claim filed using a former recovery method. The claim had been rejected by the claims administrator for having a $0 recognized loss.

Battea requested a copy of the rejection notice and the
company’s historical transaction records.

The Battea Difference:

The Claims Engine® identified almost 50% of the actual transactions MISSING from the former claim. The Claims Engine® reconciled the data with the rules of the settlement’s plan of allocation. The recognized loss was accurately calculated to be in excess of $30 million, which the former claim had not substantiated. Battea filed an amended claim.
